This fanzine has now been running for years, and maintains the cut 'N' paste haphazard style that featured in many a punk fanzine circa 1976-85. In the clean-cut world of web-design where a lot of olde fanzine editors now take refuge, it is refreshing to see this old format survive into the 21st century.
Alex (Mike Alexander) has been slowly reviewing the Subs discography in each issue, along with his articles on some of his favourite things, ranging from punk, music, other zines and also cycling.
Good to see the variety in this as the editor's personality shines through. The current issue is A4 size with 20 pages, and herein lies the usual punk-based reviews, rants and writings, along with another Darlington FC piece, loads of zine, CD and record reviews, bits about cycling as well as something on his local non-league Football Club Truro City, who are in the same (Southern Premier) League as Leamington FC, whom the two editors of Time & Matter are long time supporters of!
Great also to see Alex using the Johnny Dexter (The Hard Man) images, cut from an old favourite comic of mine (Roy Of The Rovers), in his review of the 2010 World Cup (a cup England would surely have won if Roy Race still graced the national side!!!)... but enough of this sidetracking onto footy...
Give yourself a treat, and something different to read - this zine is always fun to read, and a bargain to boot!
