- PETE DAVIES TO RECORD ALBUM WITH THE STRAPS
Ex-U.K. Subs drummer PETE DAVIES is currently playing drums with a couple of bands - The Straps and Red Mecca. (Read more here...)
Pete has told T&M that THE STRAPS are going to record an album at Pat Collier's studio (where the U.K. Subs recently cut their forthcoming new double album), starting 19th October. Pete also revealed to T&M that "some of the tunes will be from our current set which has never been done in a studio, and we also have a cover version which we are working on, and new stuff is coming along all the time. 
The first day we hope to get 4 tracks down, as well as some recorded live to be finished later."
Pete also has a couple of gigs with The Straps, firstly at the Winchester Punk Fest on Sunday 14th October (see poster above - click to enlarge), and then on Saturday 20th October at the Camden Barfly in London. (see poster right)
