LYRICS:
You can call him grandmaster of punk / he's so punk by the heart / he started to play his own kind of blues / living in a car.
Everybody knows him, everybody loves him, all around the world, everybody knows him, everybody loves him, all around the world...
Party in Paris, Cologne or New York / wherever he goes he hits the stage / year for year, mile for mile on the road / as fit as a fiddle, still teenage.
Everybody knows him, everybody loves him, all around the world, everybody knows him, everybody loves him, all around the world...
Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper he's a punkrock legend / Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper all around the world
Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper he's a punkrock legend / Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper all around the world
Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper he's a punkrock legend / Charlie Harper on tour forever / Charlie Harper all around the world

Pres told T&M that the band "...recorded it this year in April. It will appear on our new record, coming out later this year. We are also thinking of putting the song out as a single version on vinyl..."
The Nopes started out in 1993, playing all around Germany, in France, and even in Russia over the next few years, there have been various line-up changes since with sporadic recordings along the way.
They eventually decided to abandon the few songs with German lyrics they had and concentrate on just English lyrics, embedded in old-school Punk Rock tunes. In 2007 the first full-length “Too Krank To Wank” was recorded.
The band describe their "typical sound as based on old ´77 styled bands like The Ramones, The Lurkers or The Nobodys etc..."
Pres further told T&M that "I wrote this song in co-operation with Inga Stoll who was the first drummer for The Nopes (PVC Nope). She wrote and sings the lead vocals together with me.
We've both known Charlie now for more than 20 years and we wanted to write him a song for his 70th birthday. To be honest, I think we did it well..."
Time & Matter couldn't agree more!
