UK Subs were due to play the 4th 'Speedfreaks Ball' in Mablethorpe, England, but it was cancelled due to "slow ticket sales".

The organiser's statement that was released in October read as follows:
"I am sorry to announce that Speedfreaks 4 has had to be cancelled. Due to slow ticket sales there is no option but to cancel the event. The bank situation and economy has really hit home and the event receipts will fall short of the cost of staging the show by quite a large amount of money which would have put me out of business and possibly bankrupted me, even the late addition of Cock Sparrer to the bill hasn't brought in enough extra ticket sales to cover the deficit. I left it as long as possible before making this difficult decision to see if there would be an upturn in the situation. But by cancelling the event and refunding ticket monies The Speedfreaks Ball will live to fight another day I would like to thank everybody for their support and help in promoting Speedfreaks. If you have posted info regarding Speedfreaks 4 on any forums, listings or websites that I don't go on would you please post this statement on them. This does not affect any other Speedfreaks shows and all other shows are still going ahead. Please return your booking receipt, or paypal receipt, to the address below for a full refund and please include your full postal address. Any bookings from outside the U.K will be refunded via paypal once we have received your receipt.
